"All the South's a Stage"

 

Shakespeare South was founded by Alys Daroy in 2020 in Adelaide/Kaurna Country, South Australia as Australia's first eco-Shakespeare company and the State's only dedicated Shakespeare organisation.

 

Their first productions, Botanica Lumina at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens (2021) and Twelfth Night at Carrick Hill (2022), enjoyed sold out seasons. Featuring an award-winning cast with original music by Michaela Burger, the production was supported by SA Casting, LVX, ENE.HUB, Mothervine and Amalfi.

Research and creative projects on this site took place across the unceded lands of the Noongar, Kaurna, and Cammeraygal peoples.
